Lacey (Commission)

She fumbles with the keys with her good hand. Trying to keep the noise down while her father snores in the adjacent room, she calmly studies each piece and determines the one that grants her access to the old library. She sighs in relief and pauses in reflection. In a few hours her birthday will be celebrated by the people through out the entire kingdom, yet all she wants is to read a book. A book she wrote about the siege that changed her life forever.

Lacey is the first of three legless girls requested by . This is his idea and I really enjoyed drawing it. I played around with the brush tool here (I've never used brush before!) and am pleased with its result. I'm sure I'll get better with it in time and I hope you like my rendition of Lacey in this piece ^_^
